Adaptive Learning Center was created to help students develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed academically.

Every student learns differently, and finding the right approach can make all the difference in a student’s academic journey.

The center is led by educator and academic mentor Kim Cady, who has more than twenty years of experience working with students in a variety of educational settings. Throughout her career, Kim has served as a classroom teacher, learning specialist, Director of a Learning Center, and private academic mentor. She has worked with students from early elementary school through high school, helping them navigate academic challenges and build stronger learning habits.

Kim’s work focuses on individualized instruction and adaptive learning strategies. Rather than applying a single teaching method to every student, she develops customized approaches based on each student’s learning style, strengths, and areas of difficulty. This allows students to strengthen core academic skills while building confidence and independence.

Many students who come to Adaptive Learning Center have learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, memory difficulties, or processing delays. Support may include academic mentoring, skill development, and helping families better understand testing results and educational planning.

The commitment to educational advocacy is also personal. After one of Kim’s own children was diagnosed with multiple learning disabilities in elementary school, navigating evaluations, developing an effective IEP, and working with teachers became a central focus for her family. That experience provided a deeper understanding of the challenges many parents face and continues to influence the way students and families are supported today.

At Adaptive Learning Center, the goal is simple:

to help each student discover how they learn best, build confidence, and achieve lasting academic success.
